SMOOTH SILK-LYOCELL PRINTING
A smooth silk-lyocell blend with a cool hand and fluid movement for modern apparel and softly structured accessories.
- Cool, smooth touch for modern fashion collections
- Fluid drape supports clean silhouettes and soft tailoring
- Suitable for graphic, abstract and restrained tonal artwork
Why choose Silk Tencel Fabric?
Often requested using the TENCEL™ keyword, this silk-lyocell category is considered for collections that need a clean surface, soft movement and a contemporary hand. Exact fibre branding and composition are confirmed for the chosen base before sampling.
Plan the right base before sampling
Send your artwork, intended product, target hand feel, quantity and timing. We will match these needs to a current base cloth and confirm the practical sampling path before bulk production.

Frequently asked questions
Is every silk-lyocell fabric branded TENCEL™?
No. TENCEL™ is a Lenzing brand for qualifying fibres, while lyocell is the generic fibre category. A silk-lyocell fabric should only be marketed with the TENCEL™ name when the fibre source, documentation and branding requirements support that claim. Otherwise, it should be described by its verified generic composition. Tell us if branded-fibre documentation is important for your project. We will confirm the offered material description, composition and available certification in the quotation rather than assuming that every lyocell blend is TENCEL™ branded.
How does it drape?
Silk-lyocell blends are often selected for a smooth, fluid fall and a soft hand, but the exact drape depends on fibre ratio, yarn, weave, weight and finishing. A light construction may feel relaxed and flowing, while a denser base can provide more body and opacity. Surface character also affects how printed colour and fine detail appear. Share the product, desired movement, target weight and reference fabric. We can compare suitable bases and use a swatch or printed sample to confirm drape, colour and handle before bulk production.
Can I order a sample?
Yes. Sampling is strongly recommended because the blend ratio and construction can change hand feel, drape, opacity and print response. Send your artwork at final scale together with the intended product, dimensions, target quantity, preferred composition and any branded-fibre requirements. We can first provide or compare available base-cloth swatches, then produce a printed strike-off on the selected option. The approved sample records colour, scale, sharpness and fabric behaviour and becomes the reference for bulk production and final inspection.
